Editorial policy

How Komunna separates independent reporting from paid and submitted content.

Four kinds of content

• Editorial: written or commissioned by our newsroom. Advertisers have no influence over it.
• Sponsored: paid for by an advertiser. Always labeled "Sponsored" wherever it appears.
• Partner content: supplied by a partner organization and labeled as such.
• Community submissions: sent in by readers and labeled as such.

Our commitments

• Paid content is never presented as independent reporting.
• We attribute sources and show when an article was updated.
• Featured or promoted listings are labeled.
