PAMPANGA — The 12th Sangguniang Panlalawigan approved several resolutions during its regular session on Wednesday, October 7, supporting recovery efforts, health services, local government programs and the implementation of ordinances across Pampanga.
The session was presided over by Vice Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda.
Among the approved measures was a resolution authorizing Gov. Lilia G. Pineda to sign a Deed of Donation with the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) and accept a ₱500,000 donation from the bank.
The funds will be used for recovery and rehabilitation initiatives following damage caused by the southwest monsoon, or habagat, and storms that affected the province in August.
The provincial board also approved a resolution expressing appreciation and recognition to Barangay Captain Edgar B. Flores of Batasan, Macabebe, for allowing his residential compound to be used as an operations center for the Domingo Flores District Hospital during flooding.
The temporary operations center allowed the hospital to continue providing emergency health care services to residents in the Fourth District while flooding affected the area.
Another approved measure concerns Sasmuan Ordinance No. 15, Series of 2026. The ordinance allows the local government to take action to promptly stop and remove public nuisances, including unauthorized fish pens, fish cages, structures and other obstructions in rivers, waterways and other inland waters.
The provincial board also approved 13 resolutions related to ordinances from the municipalities of Santa Rita, Minalin, Floridablanca, Mexico, Santo Tomas, Lubao and Guagua, as well as the City of San Fernando and Mabalacat City.
In addition, 23 proposed resolutions submitted by various local government units were referred to the appropriate committees for further study and appropriate action.
The measures approved and referred during the session cover local governance, disaster recovery, health services, environmental and waterway management, and other programs affecting communities across the province.
The 12th Sangguniang Panlalawigan said it will continue working on policies and programs aimed at improving government services and addressing the needs of Kapampangans.
